SS&C Technologies offers a broad portfolio of software and services designed to help financial and healthcare businesses automate complex tasks.

These solutions improve operational efficiency, manage risks, and reduce costs.

SS&C Technologies was founded in 1986 with the goal of automating investment management processes. The company went public in 1996, trading under the NASDAQ ticker SSNC. Over the next decade, SS&C expanded its capabilities through strategic acquisitions, solidifying its reputation as a leader in financial technology.

In 2005, SS&C was taken private in a $941 million buyout led by The Carlyle Group, allowing the company to focus on long-term growth without public market pressures. In 2010, SS&C returned to the public market, listing once again on NASDAQ.

SS&C operates through two primary business segments: software-enabled services and license, maintenance, and related services. These segments cater to the distinct needs of financial and healthcare institutions, offering a blend of outsourcing, automation, and specialized software solutions.
