The Company

Marriott Vacations Worldwide (VAC) is a timeshare company.

Members have flexible vacation options, allowing them to exchange their vacation time at Marriott properties for stays at other resorts. This approach combines a standard one-location timeshare plan with the opportunity to visit many different locations.

In addition to timeshare ownership, Marriott Vacations Worldwide provides travel-related services, such as membership programs, travel planning assistance, and access to certain vacation benefits. These offerings aim to expand the range of services available to members.

Marriott Vacations Worldwide was a spin-off from Marriott International, from which it was spun off in 2011 to focus entirely on the expanding timeshare market.

This separation allowed Marriott International to concentrate on its core hotel and lodging business, while Marriott Vacations Worldwide directed all its efforts toward the growing demand for timeshares.
