The Company
Keysight Technologies (KEYS) is a manufacturer of diagnostic and measurement equipment for electronics.
The company provides engineers with highly precise tools and software to design, analyze, and test various electronic devices, from everyday consumer electronics like smartphones to complex systems used in industries such as aerospace, telecommunications, and automotive technology.
I first encountered Keysight when researching Agilent Technologies which I wrote up two weeks ago.
Originally, Agilent was part of Hewlett-Packard (HP).
In 1999, HP spun off Agilent to focus on its test and diagnostic equipment division. For over a decade, Agilent was responsible for advancing HP's legacy of quality and precision in electronics testing.
However, by 2014, Agilent made a decision to concentrate on life sciences, spinning off its electronics-focused operations to form Keysight Technologies. This move allowed Agilent to dive deeper into life sciences while empowering Keysight to build on HP's original mission in electronics, focusing on innovations in testing and measurement technologies.
